Jakarta, October 23, 2009 – Celebration of Anniversary of PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) on October 23, 2009 has a special meaning, because together with the anniversary, Telkom has declared a new identity as symbol of Telkom’s business transformation from InfoCom to T.I.M.E (Telecommunication, Information, Media and Edutainment). The anniversary celebration and Grand Launch of New Telkom have been packed in an interesting event among others introducing technology of Augmented Reality [1] firstly broadcasted live in Indonesia.
The Telkom’s anniversary celebration is different this time, this day is confirmation of Telkom’s business transformation from only InfoCom to T.I.M.E, explained President Director of Telkom, Rinaldi Firmansyah, when attending the Grand Launch New Telkom Indonesia, in Jakarta today (23/10).
As explained by Rinaldi Firmansyah, as the only T.I.M.E company in Indonesia, Telkom will try hard to present T.I.M.E service to all residentials and corporation in Indonesia. This is in line with the new positioning of Telkom as Life Confident, and tag line ‘the World in Your Hand’ which means expertise and dedication for the progress and will give assurance for all users to support their life wherever they are, he explained.
By the new identity and business portfolio, Telkom also has new values. To respond to the future challenge, Telkom makes thorough and fundamental transformation. Transformation this time which is very big along Telkom’s history, because of fundamental basis, thorough and integrated involving four basic aspects of the company, that is, Transformation in Business, Transformation in Infrastructure, Transformation in System and Operating Model and Transformation in Human Resources.
As explained by Rinaldi Firmansyah, as the only T.I.M.E company in Indonesia, Telkom will try hard to present T.I.M.E service to all residentials and corporation in Indonesia. Based on such historical consideration Telkom decides to commemorate such day as the 153rd anniversary..
Meanwhile, in the Telkom 153rd anniversary, the government through Department of Communication and Information present the award to Ericsson as telecommunication company partner that has built Indonesia together since 104 years ago. The appreciation to Ericsson, according to Vice President Public and Marketing Communication Telkom, Eddy Kurnia, refers to the pioneer and partnership run so long in Indonesia.
Indigo Award
Together with the Aanniversary and Grand Launch New Telkom Indonesia on October 23, 2009, Telkom presented Indigo Award to digital creative industry individuals in Indonesia. The Indigo Award is an annual event participated by all creative industry considered successful and give benefit to the community, environment and able to support and create new business opportunity. Those receiving the Indigo Awards have been selected through such programs as Indigo Fellow, Indigo Fellowship, TeSCA (Telkom Smart Campus), Indigo Music Awards and Song Creation and Islamic Lyrics Competition.
